Carlo Gazzotti was born in Toano on August 31, 1937, an entrepreneur and Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He founded, together with his brothers Venanzio and Domenico, Casa di Spedizioni Gazzotti S.p.A., a historic transport company in the Sassuolo ceramics district.
